The recently published Aged Care Roadmap is a comprehensive guide that outlines the future reform directions for the Aged Care industry. Well done to the Aged Care Sector Committee on a delivering a well-structured and forward thinking approach to transform the current aged care system into a sustainable, consumer-driven and market-based system.
With an estimated five-fold increase in residents over the next 35 years and only a three–fold increase in the estimated carer community, it is clear how much more operationally efficient the sector needs to become to meet future demands.
What is abundantly clear, is the need for providers to embrace a single system; have a collaborative approach with the market and to streamline and transform their own systems to be adaptable and flexible to inevitable disruption that is coming.
The question to ask yourself is “Are you ready to be disruptive?” – or are you distracted?
