Enablis Pty Ltd announced today the appointment of Leonard Kleinman to the new role of Chief Information Security Officer.
As a leading Australian Managed Security Service Provider and accredited Palo Alto Networks, SASE and Network specialist, Enablis CEO, Stuart Couchman is delighted to confirm the appointment of Leonard Kleinman, as Enablis’ Chief Information Security Officer effective May 6th, 2024.
“As security remains a fundamental strategic focus, Enablis has made this appointment as we identified two crucial knowledge gaps in market. The first is the need for deep governance expertise to align a company's regulatory obligations (such as Essential 8, ISO27001, etc.) with the most current cybersecurity technologies, including an understanding of how solutions like SASE fulfill specific requirements of Essential 8 or ISO27001.”
“The second gap centres around the effective communication of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance issues to board members and ensuring the board fully grasps the strategic implications. In his new role as CISO Leonard will work closely with our customers in both areas to provide strategic guidance,” said Stuart Couchman, CEO, Enablis Pty Ltd.
Leonard has a career spanning over 32 years with deep experience in security strategy, Risk management, IT Strategy, Software development and Solution architecture. Len joins Enablis from Palo Alto Networks where he held the position of Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Evangelist - Cortex (Asia Pacific & Japan). Len is also an Associate Adjunct Professor at Edith Cowan University and Advisory Board member OCSC.
Throughout Lens career, he has worked closely with organisations to offer cybersecurity governance and strategy guidance to support the delivery of fit for purpose security solutions for Global and Australian organisations.
"We are delighted to welcome Leonard Kleinman, to Enablis. In today's rapidly evolving threat landscape, cybersecurity is paramount, and Len possesses the experience, expertise, and dedication necessary to work with the Enablis team and our valued clients to ensure their applications, data and IT estate are secure 24x7.”
“As the CISO, Len will focus on strengthening Enablis’ Managed Security services and consultancy practise. He will work closely with the Enablis team and clients to provide strategic advice and oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive security frameworks and strategies, added Stuart Couchman, CEO, Enablis Pty Ltd.
"I am thrilled to join Enablis at this time, given the increased focus on security strategies across all businesses. I look forward to working with the Enablis team, clients, and prospects to further strengthen their cybersecurity posture, and implement fit for purpose security frameworks and technology solutions to protect digital assets, apps and all stakeholders,” said Leonard Kleinman.
“Cyber security and digital risk are a clear and present regulatory, reputational, financial and equity risk to all organisations and this risk is not going away. The process starts with identifying and quantifying risk through to proactive and reactive functions and capabilities, such as detect and respond, compliance and governance checks, plus ensuring disclosure requirements are met.”
“Today most organisations need help and assistance managing their security and risk. Engaging with an organisation like Enablis who has specialised expertise in operational IT and cybersecurity is now vital. Enablis has the expertise to have discussions about having the right investments in the right areas and developing a plan that is reflective of the current operational environment,” further added Leonard Kleinman.
